Pandemic photography: Interesting subjects today

Veteran photographers everywhere know that a global health crisis doesn’t mean photography has to stop. In fact, it’s the opposite. Most of the greatest images captured in history were during times of strife.

For today’s blog, here are three interesting subjects photographers can consider shooting in today’s world. Ram Chary. .

Plants and trees

A lot of people have gotten into the hobby of cultivating potted plants and backyard gardens. These make for excellent subjects. Plants have different shapes and sizes, cast all sorts of shadows, and appear in a variety of ways depending on the angle of the light. Having said that, photographers may also rediscover neighborhood plants and trees, and all the things they’ve taken for granted in the past. Ram Chary.

Self

Before the pandemic hit, selfies were often seen as novel or trivial. Today however, a lot of people are documenting their experiences during these times. Men have grown beards. Women have experimented with different styles of haircuts and make-up. It makes for great documentation to remember these troubling times. Ram Chary.

Pets

Photographers with pets know just how fun capturing their everyday companions on camera can be. Pets have always been great subjects for photography. And as if that isn’t enough, a photography session can bring a photographer and his or her companion closer together. Ram Chary.
